Gunpla Build - Master Grade EZ-8 (First Photo Batch)

(Once again, I’m breaking this photoshoot up into two posts)

I like the EZ-8. I’ve always liked the EZ-8. But do I like it quite as much as the Ground Type? I used to be unsure, but after finishing this build, the answer is “yes, yes I do?”

It’s amazing how a change in color scheme and a few visual tweaks can give the EZ-8 such a different flair. It really feels like a tank on two feet.

No gimmicks. No fancy ornamentation. Just a simple, effective piece of military equipment:

The leg articulation doesn’t make it easy to get a straight kneeling pose. This was my first, awful attempt:

But I got a bit better each time:

Until I eventually nailed it out with the bazooka:

Aaaaaaaand I just realized as I’m writing this that I forgot the magazine on the machine gun again, just like I did last time:

I did eventually put it back on:

Along with the weapons pack:

This is my best attempt at replicating the bit where it’s sliding down the side of the water tank firing at the Gouf Custom:

I found out the hard way that it doesn’t look right unless it’s propped up against the side of a wall, and even then it’s still not quite perfect.

Even if we never see the EZ-8 use this bazooka, it was still designed for these ground-type mobile suits, so it’s a good fit anyway:

End of Part 1

Alright, that’s good enough for today. Next post I’m going to go over a special new accessory I found, and then we’ll wrap it up with Part 2.
