Gunpla Build - GM Sniper II White Dingo Custom (Manual) 2026-06-14

Because this is a Premium Bandai color variant of an existing model kit, we get the instruction manual for the original Master Grade GM Sniper II:

That means we have some flavor text we can dive into. But I’m not gonna do it! Mwahahahahaha!

In all seriousness, because the OG GM Sniper II released in 2017, it’s new enough that all of the flavor text is in English. If you want to check it out for yourself, you can find it here.

The Not-Quite-Logjam 2026-06-12

When I finally decided to roll up my sleeves and clear through my Logjam, I had multiple _un_finished builds in process. Now that I’m feeling “free”, and the weight has been lifted off my shoulders, I’d like to try and get back to them:

It’s the Master Grade EZ-8, and the GM Sniper II White Dingo Squad Custom. After having so much success with the Ground Type, they seemed like natural followups.

Gunpla Build - High Grade Mk II (21st Century Real Type Colors Version) 2026-06-08

This is the final build from my logjam (not including Real Grade Epyon and Wing Zero, which I’m still planning on photographing at some point).

Last year I built the Real Type Colors Zaku II, which was a fantastic little spin on a classic mobile suit. This time I’m building my second Real Type Colors model, though ironically this is the first one I actually bought, way back when the Gundam Base Tour came around in 2024.

Look at all the lasers on that boxart. It’s like it got its class photo taken. That’s how you know this is a throwback, 80’s inspired design

If you’re as much of a fan of the Mk II as I am, there’s no such thing as having too many of them. And this time it is in an awesome color scheme.

Gunpla Build - Master Grade Gundam Ground Type (Build) 2026-06-06

The MG Gundam Ground Type, GM Ground Type, and EZ-8 were all released in very close proximity to one another (the first two in 2000, and the third in 2001). Because of this proximity, and because they’re all extremely similar in design, they share a whole lot of parts with one another. In fact, if you look closely and zoom in on this photo, there’s at least one runner stamped with “RX79(G)” and “RX-79(G) EZ-8”, despite the fact that the EZ-8 wasn’t out yet:

One of the consequences of this decision is that, in the name of cost savings, there is at least one bit of armor that’s supposed to be unique to the GM Ground Type, but is reused on this model too, even though it’s supposed to look different (it’s really not a big deal, but I just wanted to point it out)
